Well placed and has solid claims. CANASTA (9) First up from a break of 27 weeks and strong effort to the line to win first up last preparation at Riccarton Park. Jack Taplin provides some weight relief. Expect to go close. HICKORY JACK (7) Produced an eye catching run when 2nd beaten by 3/4L last run at Tauherenikau but up against a more competitive field. In good racing form since resuming from a break. Among better hopes. THE BIG PICTURE (4) Made some ground late when 3rd beaten by close to 2 1/2L last start at this venue. Has run into the placings at every start this preparation. Underrated.
