Verdict

Facile winner over 2175m on his monte debut here in early-January, LORD FROMENTRO (6) returns to racing barefoot after being conditioned in the other code and, if he stays trotting, it is hard to envisage him being bested. Now in the care of Laurent-Claude Abrivard, MISTER LION (5) sports modified shoeing for his monte bow and will be expected to deliver. Compatriot MONSIEUR CHOCOLAT (10) is new to the discipline, and stays shod, but is a trotter of considerable ability benefiting from an excellent entry, and deserves to be taken seriously. LABEL DE LARRE (9) is not the easiest to use but he showed his form here last week and merits respect.
