This looks like being a very different surface after her two soft-ground races for another stable as a 2yo but SEA THE STORM won one and was runner-up in a German Group 3 in the other, so today's rivals need to be good to beat her. The betting should indicate whether the well-related Pierian can do so, because she comes from the same stable of William Haggas. David O'Meara's Ceinture d'Orion is by Sea The Stars, as is the selection, and fetched 100,000 euros more than Sea The Storm at the yearling sales. Nowshesdancing showed stacks of promise to win her debut in Ireland but at least one of today's rivals should ask a much tougher question.[Richard Austen]
