STOLEN MAGIC (5) Had a break from racing and returns to competition. Finished 7th last start at Gore. Looking for an improved run and matched against less formidable competition. Should be right in the finish. MARTELL (2) Made ground when closing off to finish 4th last time at Te Rapa on a heavy rated track and stepping down to a lower level. Change in trainer. One of the major players. BALZANO (4) Finished 5th last time at Oamaru. Should improve here. Has shown early pace in races to date. All 4 wins have come on wet going. Can take this out. PRINCE ALBY (1) Back from a break. Average performance when 8th last time at Riccarton Park but competing at a lower class. Shows good finishing speed. Not out of this.
