The reigning Premier League champions underlined their status with a commanding 1-0 win at Liverpool to go top of the league for the first time this season. The Gunners have won eight of their nine league games and won every home game in all competitions.
Hull won their first two games of the season but are without a win in seven since. The Championship play-off winners are still marooned in mid-table in 11th, but will want to avoid a continued slide down the table.
However, we can't see anything but a win for Mikel Arteta's side here, and we're predicting a comfortable 3-0 win.
Arsenal's success under Arteta has been built on a solid defence, and that has been no different this season. Ezri Konsa has been superb since joining from Aston Villa, while Jurrien Timber recently returned from injury and William Saliba could soon follow. The Gunners have kept three clean sheets in a row in the league, and we think they'll make it a fourth here against The Tigers.
Kai Havertz scored the only goal as Arsenal saw off Liverpool, continuing his habit of turning up in big games. That was the German forward's third league goal of the season, and he's averaging around a shot on target per 90 minutes this season. We're tipping Havertz to have at least one shot on target against Hull.
It's never great when your striker has more yellow cards than goals, but that is the case with Oli McBurnie. We're doing him a slight disservice as his hold-up play has been valuable for Hull, and the Scotland striker does have two goals and two assists in the league this season. However, he has four bookings already, and up against another, erm, wind-up merchant in Gabriel, we reckon he could add to that tally.
