Premier League: Arsenal vs Liverpool odds, betting tips and predictions

Arsenal to win

Arsenal made it three consecutive wins after a gritty 3-2 win at Bournemouth last time out, and with Manchester City dropping points in the dying seconds against Chelsea they are now six points clear at the top of the Premier League. In their previous home game, The Gunners put in their most complete performance of the season in a 4-1 dismantling of third-placed Aston Villa, and they are beginning to pick up steam at a crucial time of the season.

It's been an inconsistent title defence from Liverpool, who dropped points again late on away to Fulham at the weekend. The Reds have recovered to 4th after their poor autumn, but are still searching for fluency in their performances. Arne Slot is yet to lose to Arsenal in three attempts, but we're predicting that will end here, as the title favourites continue to leave the chasing pack behind.

Declan Rice 2+ shots

The signing of Martin Zubimendi has been crucial in unlocking Declan Rice's ability to get forward, and Rice showed his box-crashing ability with two near identical goals in the Gunners' away win at Bournemouth. The England midfielder's set-piece delivery is a constant threat as well, and he's now got four goals and three assists in the Premier League this season. He's had at least two shots in four of his last five games, and at below evens that looks an appealing selection to add to our bet builder.

Dominik Szoboszlai to get booked

Dominik Szoboszlai has been Liverpool's most consistent player this season, filling in at a number of positions as Arne Slot continues to try and find the best formula for his team this season. The Hungarian captain has started 19 of 20 league games this season, with his only absence coming through suspension after collecting five yellow cards. Szoboszlai won the reverse fixture with a magnificent late free-kick back in August, but we reckon he'll pick up a booking this time around.

Over 2.5 goals

Arsenal's success has been built on their defensive solidity this season, but they're without a clean sheet in their last four games and Liverpool have scored in all but one of their away games this season. The Reds' travels have been entertaining, with games involving them averaging 3.5 goals per game, despite a wretched run of four consecutive league away defeats earlier this season. Matches at the Emirates are averaging 3.1 goals per game too, so we're predicting there'll be over 2.5 goals on this occasion.
