Champions League betting: Liverpool vs Real Madrid odds and predictions

Ladbrokes previews Liverpool vs Real Madrid in the Champions League
Match predicted to end in a draw, on Trent Alexander-Arnold's return to Anfield
Mo Salah and Jude Bellingham tipped to have shots on target, with a yellow card for Conor Bradley
The Champions League serves up a blockbuster clash on Tuesday night as Liverpool host Real Madrid at Anfield. These two met here in the league phase last season, with The Reds emerging 2-0 winners against the record fifteen-time European champions.
A major storyline is the potential return of Trent Alexander-Arnold to Merseyside after his move to Madrid in the summer. Ladbrokes brings you its odds, betting tips and predictions as two of the favourites to win the Champions League go head-to-head.
Champions League odds: Liverpool vs Real Madrid betting tips and predictions
Mo Salah 1+ shots on target
Mo Salah has rediscovered his scoring touch in recent weeks with goals in the past two Premier League games, although he did get a helping hand from Emi Martinez for one. The Egyptian King has at least one shot on target in four of the last five games, and we're backing his form to continue with another one here.
Jude Bellingham 1+ shots on target
Jude Bellingham tends to shine against English opponents in the Champions League and he'll have another point to prove at Anfield this week. He showed again he's the man for the big occasion with his winner in El Clasico, and the all-action midfielder has landed a shot on target in each of the last five games. Jude is a threat inside and outside the box, and we're tipping him to have a shot on target.
Conor Bradley to get booked
There'll be plenty of focus on Trent Alexander-Arnold's return to Anfield and whether he'll start for Real, but Liverpool's right back situation still isn't fully clear. Conor Bradley, Jeremie Frimpong and Dominik Szoboszlai have all started games there this season.
Northern Ireland captain Bradley certainly made his mark in this fixture last season with a crunching tackle on Kylian Mbappe, but he does have a habit of getting carried away with some challenges, picking up five yellow cards so far in all competitions. After starting against Villa and with Frimpong still out, Bradley looks set to start, and up against Mbappe and Vinicius Jr we could see him getting booked.
Match to end in a draw
Liverpool picked up a much needed win against Aston Villa at the weekend after losing four Premier League games in a row, and can also take confidence from their attacking display in their previous Champions League game, a 5-1 win away at Eintracht Frankfurt.
Real are clicking into high gear under Xabi Alonso, following up their Clasico win with a 4-0 win against Valencia. Madrid are unbeaten in the Champions League and Mbappe is in devastating form, with 18 goals in 14 games this season. That said, the intangible factor of a European night in Anfield is bound to play a role, so we see this one ending up in a draw.
