Robbie Keane is level with Ten Hag as second-favourite, with Brendan Rodgers and Michael Carrick outsiders
Rob Edwards is the odds-on favourite in Ladbrokes' next Wolves manager odds market, after a formal approach for the Middlesbrough boss was reportedly made.
Edwards and former Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag were neck and neck in the running to replace Vitor Pereira at the Premier League's bottom side, after Gary O'Neil withdrew from the running earlier this week.
According to multiple sources including BBC Sport, Wolves have made a formal approach for former midfielder Edwards - a move that has seen him become the outright favourite for the job. Ten Hag, meanwhile, has been linked with a return to Ajax.
Next Wolves manager odds: Wolves make Edwards approach
With Pereira sacked after picking up just two points from their first 10 games following Saturday's 3-0 defeat at Fulham, they are now one of the favourites for the drop in Ladbrokes' Premier League relegation odds.
Edwards, a former player at Molineux who now has Middlesbrough chasing promotion, is the new odds-on favourite at 1/3.
Ten Hag remains second but has shot up to 7/1, with the former Man Utd boss currently out of work having left Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen after just three games in charge.
Cal Gildart of Ladbrokes said:
After one return to Molineux was ruled out by Gary O’Neil, the odds suggest that another could be on the cards if Rob Edwards answers his former side’s call for help in their fight for Premier League survival.
O'Neil's withdrawal has seen some new surprise names emerge, with another former player Robbie Keane, who currently manages Ferencvaros, now level with Ten Hag at 7/1.
Brendan Rodgers (12/1) and Michael Carrick (14/1) were previously among the main contenders but they now look less likely.
Below are the 12 current likeliest contenders, according to Ladbrokes' odds, with names as varied as Rui Borges, Sam Allardyce and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
