Ladbrokes share predictions for Liverpool vs Chelsea in the Carabao Cup fourth round
Our score prediction is Liverpool 4-2 Chelsea, with Xabi Alonso losing on his Anfield return
Lewis Koumas and Estevao are tipped for a shot on target each

Two of the favourites in the Carabao Cup betting face off in the fourth round on Wednesday as Liverpool host Chelsea.
The two clubs have 15 EFL Cup triumphs between them and have faced off in the final of this competition three times, with this a good chance for both new managers Andoni Iraola and Xabi Alonso to grab some silverware early on in their reigns, so they will be keen to continue their journeys into the quarter-finals. Alonso also has the added motivation of securing a victory on his return to Anfield, where he was a fan favourite during his playing days.
After a tough start, the Reds are beginning to put some form together with four straight wins in all competitions, while Chelsea will be desperate to bounce back from a damaging 2-0 loss at home to rivals Tottenham in the Premier League.

Alexander Isak is in great form in the Premier League but is likely to be rotated out of the side for Lewis Koumas, who scored his first Liverpool goal during his last start against LASK in the Champions League. The 21-year-old tops Liverpool's charts for shots on target per 90 minutes in the Premier League this season with 2.2, while he also tested the keeper with a shot on goal in the last round against Tottenham, and we're tipping him to at least match that return here.
Estevao has been sparsely used this season with Alonso sticking with his preferred front three but Cole Palmer's suspension for a red card versus Tottenham should see the Brazil youngster get a chance at Anfield. The 19-year-old produced three shots per match for the Blues last season, scoring four times, and he will be eager to impress. He also looks a prime candidate for a shot on target as a result.
With the pressure slightly off for this cup match and several changes expected for both sides, we should see an entertaining game with plenty of goals. Chelsea won a 6-3 thriller in the previous round against Leeds and have conceded at least two goals on seven occasions already this term. The Reds shipped six goals across their last two Champions League games and breached the over 3.5 goal barrier in the previous round against Spurs, and we're tipping the same outcome here.
We have tipped a win for Liverpool for the final leg of our Bet Builder, with the Reds coming into this game in much better form than their opponents with five straight wins compared to three defeats in Chelsea's last six. The Reds have also knocked the Blues out of this cup on five previous occasions, including wins in each of their meetings in the final in 2005, 2022 and 2024 and we are backing them to have the upper hand again here, which could mount more pressure on Alonso.
