Ravens vs Lions odds, preview and predictions
Ravens favourites in AFC-NFC showdown
The Ravens are favoured by around 5 points on the spread ahead of kickoff on Monday night, with the points total set at 53.5.
Both teams arrive at 1–1 and will be desperate to avoid having two early losses on their record. Baltimore blew a 15-point lead in a 41–40 loss to the Bills, which could have major ramifications in the AFC playoff race, before hammering the Browns 41–17.
Detroit were bullied by Micah Parsons and the Packers defense in Week 1 before roaring back to crush former offensive coordinator Ben Johnson’s Chicago Bears 52–21.
Detroit have struggled to contain dual-threat quarterbacks under Dan Campbell, allowing more QB rushing yards than any other team since 2021, and that will be a key factor with Jackson in town. Lamar Jackson remains undefeated against Detroit and torched them for 357 yards and three TDs through the air plus another score on the ground in their 38–6 win in 2023.
This AFC–NFC clash sees two league’s most explosive offenses go toe-toe. These teams led the NFL in total offensive yards in 2024 and averaged over 30 points a game last season. The Ravens have scored 40 points in each of their first two games this season, with the Lions putting up 50 on Chicago last week. Jackson and Jared Goff have each thrown 6 TDs through two games.
Derrick Henry, Jahmyr Gibbs lead touchdown markets
Baltimore running back Derrick Henry leads the touchdown markets. He opened 2025 with a 165-yard, two-TD barnstormer versus Buffalo but was held to just 23 yards by the Browns. Free-agent addition De’Andre Hopkins already has two TDs, while fellow wide receiver Zay Flowers is also an endzone threat.
Detroit's rushing tandem of Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery has been central to their success, and both scored touchdowns on the ground in the win over the Bears. Amon-Ra St. Brown caught a hat-trick of touchdown passes as well, with Jameson Williams one of the best deep threats in the league.
Player prop bets to watch: another big day for Amon-Ra St. Brown?
The Lions looked back to their best against Chicago with Jared Goff throwing for 334 yards and five touchdowns. Amon-Ra St. Brown piled up 119 yards in addition to his three scores, and Jameson Williams also surpassed 100 yards and a touchdown. In the prop betting markets, St. Brown's receiving yards total is set for 72.5 and Williams is 49.5.
On Baltimore’s side, Zay Flowers is averaging over 100 receiving yards per game as he blossoms into a true #1 receiver. His 218 receiving yards is more than the rest of the Ravens offense combined, so they need the likes of Mark Andrews and Rashod Bateman to step up. Flowers' yards line is set for 70.5.
The Detroit ground attack struggled in Green Bay but rebounded against Chicago, so it will be interesting to see which version turns up in Baltimore. Gibbs' over/under of 57.5 yards is perhaps low, with Baltimore missing defensive tackle Nnamdi Madubuike, but reflects his shared duties with Montgomery.
Ravens vs Lions prediction, best bets
This could be a classic as two of the league's elite offenses square off in primetime. Baltimore and Lamar Jackson tend to shine in the spotlight, entertaining us even in defeat as against Buffalo two weeks ago, and it appears to be a favourable matchup for them.
The Lions and Jared Goff are out to prove the loss to the Packers was just a one-off and will relish the opportunity to lay down a marker on the road against a Super Bowl contender. They need pass-rush help outside of Aidan Hutchinson, because if they can't get pressure on Lamar it will be an almighty struggle.
We think that the two-time MVP will ultimately prove the difference, as he has in the past against Detroit. In another high-scoring game, we're backing Lamar and the Ravens to edge past the Lions.
Prediction: Ravens 34-31 Lions
Best bets:
Over 53.5 Points
Lamar Jackson over 44.5 rushing yards
Zay Flowers over 70.5 receiving yards
