Nottingham Forest next manager odds: Favourites to replace Nuno

Ladbrokes looks at the Nottingham Forest next manager odds after it was announced on September 9 that Nuno Espirito Santo had been sacked.

Despite guiding Forest from relegation contenders to the Europa League, Nuno has been relieved from his duties as manager, with the Premier League club now searching for a new boss.

With regards to who Forest's players and fans may be calling 'boss' next, Ange Postecoglou is Ladbrokes’ odds-on favourite to become the new Nottingham Forest manager.

Postecoglou is the clear frontrunner for the role, with nearest rivals Jose Mourinho and Marco Silva, being priced at 8/1 and 10/1 respectively. Andoni Iraola and Oliver Glasner round out the top five with odds of 16/1 or shorter.

Cal Gildart of Ladbrokes said: Forest have a shot at Europa League glory this season, and no manager has enjoyed success in that competition more recently than Ange Postecoglou. The odds are in his favour, but will owner Evangelos Marinakis be able to resist making a splash by bringing back Jose Mourinho to the Premier League?

Outside of the top five, the likes of Steven Gerrard, Erik ten Hag, Mauricio Pochettino and Frank Lampard are all in the running.

However, all four of the aforementioned names are priced considerably further out than Ange, with many believing it's just a matter of time before the ex-Spurs' manager takes over from Nuno.

The job for Forest's next manager, if he steps into the role before the weekend, will be traveling to North London for a tricky away match against Arsenal.
