Chelsea to defeat Fulham in derby

The weekend's action kicks off from Stamford Bridge on Saturday lunchtime, as Enzo Maresca's 'World Champions' Chelsea host Fulham in the West London derby.

Chelsea started with a 0-0 draw at home to Crystal Palace, before thumping West Ham 5-1. There are question marks surrounding the fitness of Cole Palmer, who missed that win, but the Blues' depth in attacking areas was clear for all to see.

Marco Silva's Fulham have kicked off their league campaign with consecutive draws against Brighton and Man Utd. They staged a dramatic late comeback here last season to secure their first away win at Chelsea in 45 years.

The Whites are always tricky customers, but Chelsea are in a groove and we expect them to have too much for Fulham on Saturday.

Spurs to beat Bournemouth

Tottenham meet Bournemouth in the 3pm slot as both sides look to continue their early momentum after wins last weekend.

Spurs have started the season brilliantly, following up their comfortable opening day win against Burnley with a superb 2-0 win away to Manchester City. Thomas Frank will be especially delighted with two clean sheets.

Bournemouth entertained us in their 4-2 defeat at Anfield in the season's curtain-raiser, before a routine 1-0 win over Wolves. The Cherries have had plenty of talent poached this summer, but are still a well-drilled unit under Andoni Iraola.

This is the sort of game Spurs struggled in last season, but we think their new found solidity will continue and they'll pick up their third win in a row.

Nottingham Forest to pile the pressure on West Ham

Two teams with fragile managerial situations face off as Nottingham Forest play West Ham on Sunday afternoon.

West Ham are in real danger of being dragged into a relegation battle, with pressure cranking up on Graham Potter. Their season reached a new low as captain and star player Jarrod Bowen had to be dragged away from confronting his own fans after their cup defeat to Wolves.

Tensions appear to have eased at Nottingham Forest after reports of a dramatic falling out between Nuno and the boardroom. They've had a solid start with 4 points from 2 games, but Nuno and Potter are still joint-favourites in the next Premier League manager to leave market.

On the pitch however, Forest look as formidable as last season, while the Irons are a total mess. We reckon the home side collect all three points.

Newcastle to win away at Leeds

Newcastle head to Leeds on Saturday evening looking to pick up their first win of the season, after a turbulent summer.

Championship winners Leeds had the perfect start by winning their home opener against Everton, but were brought crashing back down to earth with a 5-0 loss at Arsenal last weekend.

Eddie Howe's side can count themselves highly unlucky to only have one point. Newcastle were the better team against Aston Villa and Liverpool, but will need to pick themselves up after their last-gasp defeat to the latter.

They will be missing key players, with Anthony Gordon suspended, Joelinton, Fabian Schar and Sandro Tonali all picking up injuries, as well as a certain striker choosing not to play. All that being said, we think the Magpies get a reward for their performances so far with three points away to Leeds this weekend.

Liverpool to draw with Arsenal

Rounding off our 2025/26 Premier League weekly accumulator is the marquee fixture of the weekend, as champions Liverpool take on Arsenal in what is, even at this early stage, a potentially decisive match in the title race - the two teams are joint-favourites for the Premier League.

There's much talk about Alexander Isak making the switch from Newcastle to Anfield, and the Reds somehow came away from St. James' Park with a thrilling 3-2 win on Monday night. The concern for Liverpool is not in attack, with Hugo Ekitike scoring again, but in defence, having looked shaky across the opening fixtures.

Arsenal have started the season with two wins and two clean sheets, already looking fiercely determined to finally win the league. Their set-piece prowess is sure to be a factor again, with three goals so far this season from dead ball situations.

The stakes are high for this one, so hopefully that means it won't be a cagey affair, but we've seen it happen before. In this early stage of the season, both sides might accept a point and move on.
