The Premier League serves up a huge clash on Sunday as Manchester City host Liverpool in a meeting between two title contenders.

Man City sit 2nd while defending champions Liverpool are 3rd, but with Arsenal already six points clear at the top both sides won't want to lose any more ground in the title race.

Erling Haaland continues to deliver at an extraordinary rate for Manchester City and is setting the pace in the Golden Boot race. His brace in City's 3-1 win over Bournemouth took him to 13 goals in 10 Premier League games, and he has 18 in 14 in all competitions. The big Norwegian striker is actually yet to score against Liverpool in the Premier League, but we're backing him to make amends on Sunday by scoring for the fifth home league game in a row.

Mohamed Salah has rediscovered his rhythm in recent weeks, scoring in back-to-back league matches against Brentford and Aston Villa. The Egyptian King has a phenomenal record against Pep Guardiola's side, with 13 goals and 8 assists against them in all competitions. Salah scored in both league fixtures between the two teams last year, and we're tipping him to land a shot on target at the Etihad on this occasion.

Alexis Mac Allister picked up 11 yellow cards in all competitions last season and has only just collected his first of the campaign in Liverpool’s 1-0 win over Real Madrid in the Champions League. The Argentine midfielder's tenacity and high defensive workload often see him tread a fine line, especially in games played at full tempo. With City likely to try and make the most of transitions, Mac Allister could be exposed when tracking back, making a booking a possible outcome.

Meetings between City and Liverpool rarely disappoint and this one looks set to be another cracker. Liverpool appeared to have turned a corner after their alarming recent run, recording back-to-back home wins and clean sheets against Villa and Real. However, their away form has been a problem and they've lost three consecutive Premier League games on the road.

Man City, meanwhile, have won their last six at home in all competitions after a 4-1 midweek win over Borussia Dortmund. They don't quite appear at their dazzling best and seem particularly reliant on Haaland this season, but it's alright to rely on the best striker in the world sometimes. We're predicting City to edge a narrow win, with Haaland making the difference once again.
