Ladbrokes previews Celtic vs Hearts in the Scottish Premiership
Thrilling title race set to be decided on final day
A win for Celtic crowns them champions, with any other result handing Hearts the title for the first time in 66 years

A dramatic title race in the Scottish Premiership is set to go down to the final day as Celtic face Hearts in a winner-takes-all showdown to be crowned champions of Scotland. Ladbrokes previews Saturday's massive game, taking a look at the Celtic vs Hearts odds and predicts who will emerge victorious.
Table-toppers Hearts head into the final game of the season as outsiders with Ladbrokes to win the Scottish Premiership.
Despite having topped the table for pretty much the entire season, the bookies now make Hearts 5/4 to lift their first league title since 1960. Second-place Celtic, who host Hearts this weekend and need a win to secure a fifth successive trophy, are 4/7 to get the job done.
Hearts - who only need a draw and are unbeaten in three against Celtic this season - are 19/5 to nick all three points and 10/3 for a title-winning stalemate.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "History could be made this weekend, but the odds suggest Hearts are going to break at the final hurdle.
Fixture: Celtic vs Hearts

Celtic forward Daizen Maeda is having a big say in the destiny of the title. The Japan international can frustrate with his finishing at times and only managed seven goals in 31 games in the league's first stage, but has caught fire during the run-in with six goals in four games since the split.
His stunning bicycle kick in the Old Firm was one of the great goals in that fixture's storied history, and if The Bhoys go on to win the league and overtake Rangers' all-time tally of 55 titles, Maeda's place in Celtic folklore will be assured. He's averaging 1.05 shots on target per game this season, and having found the back of the net in each of his last four, we're tipping him to test the keeper at least once again.
Hearts will be leaning on their captain Lawrence Shankland, who has been a revelation since joining the Jambos in 2022 with 71 goals in 133 league games. The Scotland striker has struck up a brilliant partnership with Claudio Braga this season, with the two providing 36 goals between them in all competitions, and each forward has already scored against Celtic this season.
Shankland is the man for the big occasion and grabbed the equaliser in Hearts' previous away game at Motherwell. The Hearts skipper has had at least one shot on target in four of his last five games, and is averaging 1.35 shots on target per game this season, so we're backing him to make an impact here by having at least one shot on goal.
In the form of Maeda, Shankland, Claudio Braga and Benjamin Nygren, there is plenty of attacking talent on display for each side, so we're predicting both teams to score as part of our Celtic vs Hearts bet builder. Celtic have kept just one clean sheet in their last thirteen league games, while both teams have scored in five of Hearts' previous six games. Both managers are missing key defensive men as well, with Julian Araujo and Cameron Carter-Vickers likely out for the hosts, while Craig Halkett will be a long-term absentee for Hearts after rupturing his achilles against Motherwell last weekend.
In better injury news for Hearts, Harry Milne returned against Falkirk after missing the previous six games with a calf injury. Milne has been a driving force at left-back with his marauding runs, providing six assists as well as a goal, and he's equally comfortable in a back-three or back-four. Derek McInnes has tended to favour a back-three in big games, so Milne is likely to start at wing-back after managing 45 minutes midweek. Milne has collected eight yellow cards this season and was booked in two of his three games against Celtic this season, and in a red-hot atmosphere with perhaps still some rustiness after his spell on the sidelines, we're tipping Milne to be shown a card.
A last-gasp, hugely controversial penalty for Celtic at Motherwell on Wednesday night gave them a 3-2 victory and ensured this thrilling Scottish Premiership title race will have the most dramatic possible conclusion. Hearts, who beat Falkirk 3-0 midweek, need just a point to be crowned champions for the first time since 1960 and to become the first team outside the Old Firm to win the league since Alex Ferguson's Aberdeen in 1985.
That Kelechi Iheanacho penalty was a bitter blow for Hearts, who would only have needed a two-goal defeat to win the league as things stood. The Edinburgh side still have reason to be hopeful, having not lost in three games to Celtic this season, although their 2-1 victory at Celtic Park in December came during Wilfried Nancy's disastrous brief tenure in Glasgow.
The stakes in Saturday's game are at an entirely different level and it remains to be seen how Derek McInnes' side will cope with the pressure and Celtic's fervent home support. Hearts have stumbled on the road lately, winning just one of their last six on their travels.
Celtic haven't always convinced of late but their title-winning machine has clicked into gear once again under Martin O'Neill, winning six in a row and all four of their games since the league split. Their late winner at Motherwell was one you associate with league titles, and may have given them the upper hand while knocking the stuffing out of Hearts. We're predicting that at a febrile Parkhead, Celtic will have just about enough to get over the line, beating Hearts 2-1 to win a record 56th Scottish league title.
Our prediction: Celtic 2-1 Hearts
