Villa predicted to win

Ladbrokes bring you expert Bet Builder tips for Tottenham Hotspur vs Aston Villa in the Premier League, including odds, predictions, lineups and where to watch.
Two sides more used to finishing in the European places find themselves near the foot of the table, although Spurs have resided down there in the last few seasons. After spending nearly half a billion pounds in the summer, expectations would have been much higher for Roberto De Zerbi's squad.
Aston Villa are in the Champions League but it's been another slow start domestically, with Unai Emery's side in 19th after four games. Tottenham are favourites to win the match at odds of 19/20, with Aston Villa priced at 13/5 and a draw also odds of 13/5.

Tottenham's home form in 2026 has been utterly dreadful - illustrated by the fact that Aston Villa have the same number of wins at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this year as Spurs. After a massive summer of spending, it's been a familiar tale for Tottenham fans, who saw their team lose 2-0 to Newcastle before a drab 0-0 with Everton. It's been a poor start for Aston Villa too, with just one point in four games, but Unai Emery has been here before and turned it around. Villa have won four of their last five games against Spurs, including each of their last two trips here, with the exception coming in May when Emery rested his stars for the Europa League. That result was massive in Spurs' survival bid, but we think normal service will resume with Villa leaving North London with three points.
Tottenham and Aston Villa have scored just one Premier League goal between them this season. Villa lost key attackers Morgan Rogers and Ollie Watkins but Spurs have a brand-new attack, featuring the likes of Omar Marmoush and Savio. Both sides clearly are still getting up to speed as their managers work out their best formula, and we think there'll be a lack of goalmouth action again, so we're backing under 2.5 goals.
New Villa striker Nicolas Jackson has four goals in four games against Tottenham, including a superb hat-trick at this stadium in a 4-1 win for Chelsea back in 2023. The Senegal forward got off the mark for The Villans in the Champions League against Club Brugge, and we're backing him to make an impact again in North London by having at least one shot on target.
Rodrigo Bentancur has history in this fixture, after Matty Cash injured him a few seasons ago in his first game back from an ACL injury. The tough-tackling Uruguay midfielder has plenty of competition in midfield after the additions of Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes, but has started each of the last two. We're tipping Bentancur to be shown a card against Villa.
