Ladbrokes' tips - Sunday, August 30, 2026: Mbappe, Pedro and Martinez to score

It took Joao Pedro barely 30 seconds to open his account for the season with a smart finish against Fulham and the Brazilian looked sharp throughout the game after getting plenty of rest this summer following his World Cup snub by Brazil.

Pedro combined well with Cole Palmer and new man Morgan Rogers, in a three-man partnership which looks to have plenty of promise, and the striker should get bags of chances in this Blues side, who are at home to Pedro's former club Brighton on Sunday.

Chelsea lost both games against Brighton last season, but look a new team under manager Xabi Alonso and will be confident of a positive result on the South Coast.

As a result, we're tipping Pedro to grab another goal against the club he left just over a year ago.

Kylian Mbappe is our second goalscorer pick and for good reason, with the France star netting a hat-trick in Real Madrid's 4-1 win over Real Sociedad on Tuesday night.

The 27-year-old has carried on his sensational form from the World Cup which saw him collect a second successive Golden Boot with 10 goals, and his form for Real over the last two seasons hasn't been too bad either after netting 89 times in 105 games over two seasons for Los Blancos.

While he has only played two games for Real so far this season, the striker's shot-on-target rate stands at an impressive five per match, so he will expect to continue his scoring form at home to a newly-promoted Malaga team who are still searching for their first win of the campaign.

The third goalscorer in action is Lautaro Martinez, who is set to play his second Inter Milan game of the season away at Cagliari.

Martinez failed to find the net in their 4-1 win over Monza on the opening day of Serie A but remains their main man up front, scoring at least 15 league goals in five of his last six seasons at the club.

The striker had a quietly strong World Cup despite being in and out of the starting XI with three goals, including important ones against Switzerland and England, and looks set to start for his club for the trip to Cagliari.

With Inter starting the season strongly last week, we're tipping Martinez to open his account for the season.
