Ladbrokes' football tips - Tuesday, October 6, 2026: Gordon, Yamal & McGinn to get an assist

Having scored a goal in each of England's three games so far during this extended international break, Anthony Gordon is well and truly cementing his place as Thomas Tuchel's first-choice left winger, and having also picked up an assist in Saturday's 7-0 demolition of Croatia, we're predicting another one here.

The Barcelona winger has already notched five assists for club and country this season, and with the Three Lions proving so threatening last time out, Gordon is once again going to see a lot of the ball in dangerous areas - and with Harry Kane in typical goalscoring form alongside him, we can see the 25-year-old getting his sixth assist of the campaign.

Four goals and one assist in three UEFA Nations League matches have propelled Spanish starlet Lamine Yamal to the top of the latest Ballon d'Or betting markets, and as the world champions take on a bruised Croatia side to round off the international break, our experts are tipping him to notch another assist here.

The 19-year-old is putting up ridiculous numbers for Barcelona this term, with 14 G/A in just eight games, and with Spain now unbeaten in 41 matches (dating back to March 2024), they're going to cause Slaven Bilic's side a mountain of problems - with Yamal likely to be right at the heart of it.

Completing our assist treble is Scotland's John McGinn, who has already set up three goals for Aston Villa this season, and having scored his 22nd international goal at the weekend, we're expecting another confident display from the midfielder.

McGinn might be his country's fifth-highest goalscorer of all time, but it's his eye for a pass that we're predicting to come to the fore on Tuesday night, with the likes of Oli McBurnie and James Wilson profiting. The 31-year-old created four chances in his country's 2-0 win on Saturday - more than any other player - so as he looks to drive Scotland to back-to-back wins, he's our pick for an assist at Hampden Park.
