A blockbuster semi-final awaits in the Men's Singles at the US Open as Carlos Alcaraz takes on Novak Djokovic on Friday.
Second-favourite Alcaraz is chasing a sixth Grand Slam and a first US Open title since 2022 and has cruised through the draw so far without dropping a set.
Four-time champion Djokovic is an outside contender for the title but will be looking to gain an edge with his unrivalled experience at this stage, with the Serbian still hoping to add to his record 24 Grand Slam titles.

US Open 2025 semi-final: Carlos Alcaraz vs Novak Djokovic odds, preview & prediction
Alcaraz vs Djokovic form
World No2 Alcaraz, who we have backed in our daily betting tips, has barely put a foot wrong in the last fortnight, most recently seeing off Jiri Lehecka in the quarter-finals as he hones in on a third Grand Slam final of 2025.
The French Open winner's aggressive baseline hitting, variety and supreme court coverage have left opponents scrambling and is building some serious momentum.
At 38, Djokovic continues to defy the ageing process - proving he is still capable of challenging at the top level of tennis by reaching the semi-finals of all four Grand Slams in 2025.
He battled through a tough quarter-final against Taylor Fritz in four sets but afterwards admitted that he was "lucky" at times. Lucky or not, the legendary Serb once again showed his enduring ability to raise his game on the biggest stage.
Alcaraz vs Djokovic head-to-head
While Alcaraz heads in as favourite, it is Djokovic who edges the head-to-head record between the pair, winning five matches compared to the Spaniard's three.
Their most recent meeting was a shock four-set victory for Djokovic at the Australian Open earlier this year, with the Serb also winning at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
It is the first time they have met at the US Open but the duo have twice shared the stage in the Wimbledon final, with Alcaraz coming out on top in an epic five-set 2023 battle as well as in straight sets in 2024.
Alcaraz vs Djokovic prediction
While Djokovic has got one over on Alcaraz in recent meetings, the second seed has looked a man on a mission in New York so far and should have too much for his opponent, who is 16 years his senior.
Djokovic certainly has it in him to make the match go the distance, but so much could depend on his fitness after admitting to having some issues after the Fritz encounter.
