US Open 2025 daily betting tips and best bets
US Open Day 6 best bets, Friday, 28th August
Carlos Alcaraz faces Luciano Darderi in the third round as he continues his push for a second US Open title. The Spaniard has been in commanding form so far, not dropping a set, and should have too much quality and athleticism for the Italian on hard courts. We’re backing the Spaniard to advance over the Italian with another straight-sets victory - could he be meeting another Italian in the final?
2021 champion Emma Raducanu meets Elena Rybakina in a high-profile third-round clash. Rybakina has looked sharp this summer, highlighted by her win over Aryna Sabalenka in Cincinnati, but has failed to make it past this stage at Flushing Meadows. Raducanu has been building momentum and form in 2025 but this represents a major step up, and she's yet to win against an elite player this year. We’re backing Rybakina to come through in a close one, as her serve and power should be telling over the course of the match
Frances Tiafoe takes on Jan-Lennard Struff in front of the home crowd as he looks to reach the second week in New York again. The American thrives under the lights at Flushing Meadows, reaching the semi-finals in 2022 and 2024, and his athletic game is well suited to the conditions, while Struff’s attacking style can bring rewards but also leave him vulnerable. We’re backing Tiafoe to edge through with the fervent support under the lights.
Jasmine Paolini meets Marketa Vondrousova in the third round after another strong start to her season. The 7th-seed Italian has shown consistent improvements on hard courts, reaching the final in Cincinnati, and she hasn't lost a set at the US Open. Vondrousova has yet to fully rediscover the form that took her to a Wimbledon title, but got a good win over McCartney Kessler in the last round. That said, we’re backing Paolini to continue her run and reach the last 16.

US Open 2025 odds: who are the favourites?
US Open Men's Singles winner odds
Defending champion Jannik Sinner is the 10/11 favourite to win the 2025 US Open, fresh from his Wimbledon triumph as he looks to extend his dominance on hard courts.
Carlos Alcaraz follows at 17/10, the Spaniard having shared the last seven Grand Slam titles with Sinner and lifted his first major here in 2022. Novak Djokovic is 12/1 as he continues his pursuit of a record 25th Slam, though his semi-final defeat to Sinner at Wimbledon suggested the balance of power may finally be shifting.
Alexander Zverev (16/1) is still chasing a maiden Grand Slam title after three runner-up finishes. Home hopes rest with Ben Shelton (16/1) and Taylor Fritz (20/1), both now inside the world’s top 10 and eager to deliver in front of the Flushing Meadows crowd.
US Open Women's Singles winner odds
Wimbledon champion Iga Swiatek is the 21/10 favourite for the US Open, looking to add a seventh major after dominant wins at Wimbledon and in Cincinnati.
Defending champion Aryna Sabalenka is 11/4 to retain her title as she seeks to convert near misses into another Slam, while Coco Gauff (9/1) carries home hopes two years on from her breakthrough triumph in New York. Elena Rybakina also comes in at 10/1 after beating Sabalenka in Cincinnati.
Teen star Mirra Andreeva (7/1) has already reached back-to-back Slam quarter-finals and continues her rapid rise, while Naomi Osaka (12/1), Amanda Anisimova (22/1) and former champion Emma Raducanu (16/1) add further intrigue to the field.
