Wimbledon is nearing its conclusion, and Friday’s semi-final between Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic is set to be an enthralling matchup between two superstars. Jannik Sinner meets Novak Djokovic in the semi-finals as the Italian looks to reach his first Wimbledon final. The world number one has looked solid this fortnight, breezing through the early rounds without dropping a set before surviving a huge scare against Grigor Dimitrov in the fourth round, trailing by two sets when the Bulgarian was forced to retire. He then overcame Ben Shelton in straight sets in the quarter-finals, using his powerful serve and aggressive baseline game to keep the American at bay.

Djokovic, meanwhile, continues his bid for a record-equalling eighth Wimbledon title. The Serbian was pushed hard by Alex de Minaur in the fourth round, dropping the opening set 6-1 before recovering in four. He then beat Flavio Cobolli in the quarter-finals, again dropping a set but showing his trademark resilience and ability to raise his level when it matters most.

However, Djokovic has won both of their encounters on grass, beating Sinner in the Wimbledon quarter-finals in 2022 and again in the semi-finals in 2023.

This will be their third meeting at SW19, with Sinner desperate to finally get the better of the seven-time champion on his favourite surface, while Djokovic chases a remarkable 25th Grand Slam.

Sinner’s elbow could be a factor if the contest turns into a physical battle, while Djokovic’s experience and ability to manage his body through five sets remain unmatched. With Sinner and Alcaraz continuing to rise, this could be the Serb's last realistic chance at adding another Grand Slam to his record.

Sinner has won their last four meetings, but Djokovic has won both their meetings on the grass of The All England Club. Expect a tight, high-quality encounter that could go all the way.
