The Gunners ground out a trademark 1-0 win away to Aston Villa on Monday night to make it two wins out of two, after dispatching newly-promoted Coventry 3-0 on the opening night. Chelsea have impressed going forward while looking shaky at the back, with a 3-2 win at rivals Fulham followed up by a chaotic 4-3 victory against Brighton. Arsenal are unbeaten against Chelsea in their last 11 games, winning eight of those, and the champions should have enough quality to see off The Blues.
Arsenal's vaunted defence has continued their form which carried them to a Premier League title, with two clean sheets to begin 2026/27. However, they face a tough task against a Chelsea team that's scored seven goals in two games. Alonso's front three of Cole Palmer, Morgan Rogers and Joao Pedro have clicked quickly, so we think that both teams will score here.
Bukayo Saka has started the season fit and firing with goals in each game so far, scoring the opening goal of the campaign against Coventry, before turning in the second-half winner at Villa Park. Mikel Arteta will be hoping his talisman can avoid injury as The Gunners look to go back-to-back. We're backing Saka to continue his hot streak with at least one shot on target against Chelsea.
Joao Pedro spearheads Chelsea's fluid front three, and the versatile Brazilian has enjoyed a superb start to 2026/27 with two goals and two assists in his first two games. He enjoyed a decent debut campaign at Stamford Bridge, scoring 15 Premier League goals, but looks as if he could take another step up this year. We're tipping Joao Pedro to have at least one shot on target at the Emirates.
