Ladbrokes ambassador Ben Jones previews both of his Wetherby rides on Saturday (October 31) in his latest exclusive blog.

Ooh Betty - Wetherby - 13:45 race odds
Handstands - Wetherby - 14:55 race odds
Obviously, the weather isn’t playing ball, so we have a few horses that aren’t running. Ooh Betty runs in the mares’ Listed race, which only has five runners. I think she has beaten a few of them before, and I think she is fit and ready to rock and roll for Ben Clarke. She is only a small little thing, so she loves that quicker ground. I am very excited to sit on her again. She won the Grade 2 Warfield Mares’ Hurdle at Ascot in January this year. She always runs her race. She might be small, but she makes up for that with the effort she puts in. I am very much looking forward to this one.
Handstands runs in the Charlie Hall Chase and is a horse who did nothing last year. We can’t hide away from that form. If you go back to his novice chase form and his novice hurdling form, then he’s definitely not without a chance. He has tremendous form behind him, having beaten Jango Baie twice, once over hurdles and once over fences, and he is a Grade One winner. We have to put a line through last year, as nothing was ever smooth and he never got a proper run through the season. This year is different, and his work at home suggests that he is back and, if anything, he is better than he was in his novice years. He has to go and show that on the track now. He’s got his spark back, so I am very much looking forward to riding him. If he runs well, we will have a fun season with him. The drying ground is probably a little bit of a doubt, but the same can be said for a lot of the others in the race.
