Bournemouth
Ladbrokes share predictions for Bournemouth vs Sunderland in the Premier League
Bournemouth backed for a first win of the season, beating Sunderland 2-1
Marcus Tavernier tipped to have a shot on target, with Reinildo committing 2+ fouls

Two of this season's Europa League hopefuls meet in the Premier League on Sunday, with both Bournemouth and Sunderland in desperate need of points to climb away from the foot of the table.
The Cherries are still winless after six games, sitting in 18th with only three points to their name, but with Sunderland currently sitting just a place and a point ahead, this one has the feel of a crucial clash - and Ladbrokes' latest odds prove there's very little in it.
Below, you can read our insightful Bournemouth vs Sunderland betting review, with expert predictions, Bet Builder tips, and live betting markets.

As two of the Premier League's leakiest defences go head-to-head, we can't see either side keeping a clean sheet at the Vitality Stadium, with both attacks posing more threat than their league position might suggest. Sunderland became the first visiting team in almost two years to score three at the Etihad a few weeks ago, while Bournemouth struck three themselves in the Europa League on Thursday night, and with five of the Cherries' six league games featuring goals for both teams, we're backing that trend to continue at the Vitality.
The bright spark for Bournemouth this season from an attacking perspective has undoubtedly been Marcus Tavernier, who is still the only man to have scored more than one league goal for them this term, and we're tipping him to have at least one shot on target again this weekend. The 27-year-old is averaging almost 1.5 shots on target per 90, and against a Sunderland side without a clean sheet since August, he's our pick to test Robin Roefs this weekend.
Despite his swathes of experience, Sunderland left-back Reinildo picked up seven yellows and a red last season, and lining up against Rayan on Sunday, we're backing him to commit at least two fouls at the Vitality Stadium. The Mozambique international is already averaging close to two fouls conceded per game this term, and actually committed three in the Black Cats' last home game before the international break (getting sent off in the process), so at a ground where Sunderland haven't won since 2026, we're predicting a challenging afternoon for the 32-year-old.
With the Cherries boasting a perfect record from their two Europa League matches, their first Premier League win of the season seems to be edging ever-closer, and we think this will finally be Bournemouth's day. Sunderland have also bagged maximum points in Europe, but haven't won on their travels domestically since the back-end of last season, and with the visitors missing key players (such as Brian Brobbey and Dan Ballard), our experts are backing a home win.
