It was a much-improved showing in Spurs' last outing, as they snatched a late draw at Old Trafford after being reduced to ten men. Roberto De Zerbi's team are still in 19th though, and have only won once at home in 2026.
Coventry had a chastening start to life back in the Premier League, but followed up a 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest with a 4-1 thumping of Newcastle last Monday, to shoot up to 14th in the table.
Things might be finally clicking into gear for Tottenham after their massive summer outlay, and despite Coventry's upturn in form, we're predicting Spurs to pick up their first league win of the season.
Neither of these teams scored a goal in their first four league games, but now have each scored in their last three in all competitions. The Sky Blues put four past a hapless Newcastle, but were fortunate not to concede more than once themselves. Spurs missed a barrage of chances in the first half at Man Utd, but the encouraging signs are that chances are coming. We're backing both teams to score.
It was a deft header from Dominic Solanke that grabbed a point for Spurs, and he could have had a couple more last weekend. Solanke appears to be De Zerbi's leading striker, starting each of the last three, and should be buoyed by scoring his first goal of the season. We're tipping Solanke to have at least one shot on target against Coventry.
Jack Rudoni opened the scoring for Coventry from the penalty spot against Newcastle, and the man who was a key player in the EFL for Coventry is beginning to find his feet in the top-flight. The versatile attacking midfielder has had a shot on target in five of his six league games, and we're backing him to test the keeper once again here.
