Now the 2024/25 season has started, Ladbrokes takes you through AC Milan's Champions League squad, their chances of winning the competition and what their starting 11 has been.
AC Milan are one of the UCL's most decorated sides, having won seven Champions League titles during their time, but the Italian giants haven't been able to call themselves Champions of Europe since 2008, which they'll be hoping changes come May 2025.
AC Milan has some top talent on its books, so if they get a kind draw in the knockout rounds, whose to say they can't go all the way and win the Champions League once again?
With all that said, Ladbrokes takes you through AC Milan's squad for the current Champions League campaign, what their starting line-up has looked like, and their odds of winning the competition.

Below is the squad that AC Milan have taken into the forthcoming Champions League campaign, with the Italian giants having some truly exceptional talent at their disposal.

Mike Maignan is Milan's goalkeeper for the season, with ex-Tottenham defender Emerson Royal and star man Theo Hernandez ahead of him flanking two of Fikayo Tomori, Matteo Gabbia, Strahinja Pavlovic and Malick Thiaw.
The midfield trio will be made up of Ismael Bennacer, when he's fit, and two of former Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Yunus Musah, who was actually on the books of Arsenal a brief period as a youth player, the ever-impressive Tijjani Reijndersn and Youssouf Fofana.
As for the front three, Alvaro Morata and Christian Pulisic line up alongside Rafael Leao, who is not only one of the most exciting wingers in Italy, but even the entirety of Europe.
Liverpool are the favourites to win the Champions League come May 2025, with the bookies of the belief that they're the side most likely of being crowned Champions of Europe.
The bookies think that AC Milan, on the other hand, have around a 2% chance of winning the UCL this season, with the same odds as Borussia Dortmund.
The Italian giants are seen as less likely than Inter Milan to win the Champions League, for context, with their close rivals being given shorter odds.
AC Milan kicked off their 2024/25 Champions League campaign on September 17 with a tricky home fixture against the team they met in the 2005 and 2007 UCL finals, Liverpool. The game ended for Milan in a 3-1 loss, with Arne Slot winning his European first game as Reds' boss.
On matchday two, Milan traveled to Germany to face Xabi Alonso's Bayer Leverkusen, with that game taking place on October 1, and ending in a 1-0 loss for the Italian side.
Two weeks later, Milan were back at home to face Club Brugge on October 22, picking up their first points of the competition after a 3-1 win. That came before an away tie against Real Madrid in Spain on November 5, which ended in a rather shocking 3-1 win.

Slovan Bratislava hosted AC Milan on November 26, with the Italian side winning that 3-2, before Milan played their final UCL game of 2024, a 2-1 win at home to Red Star Belgrade on December 11.
Things resumed six weeks later in 2025, with Milan beating Girona 1-0 at home on January 22. That came seven days before a disappointing performance against Dinamo Zagreb, which ended in a 2-1 loss.
AC Milan then faced Feyenoord in the competition's playoff round, losing 2-1 on aggregate to get knocked out at the hands of the Dutch side.
