Fixture: PSG vs Bayern Munich
Competition: Champions League
Date: Tuesday, April 28, 2026
Kick-off: 8pm BST
Venue: Parc des Princes
Our predicted XI (4-3-3): Safonov / Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho, Mendes / Vitinha, Neves, Ruiz / Doue, Dembele, Kvaratskhelia
Our predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Neuer / Stanisic, Upamecano, Tah, Laimer / Kimmich, Pavlovic / Olise, Musiala, Diaz / Kane
These two could well be Europe's finest football teams, and it would be a worthy final, but only one can make it to Budapest. Bayern have won the last five meetings between the two in the Champions League, including a 2-1 win at the Parc des Princes during the league phase in November, although PSG did win 2-0 in the Club World Cup last summer.
The Parisian side could receive a big boost with the return of Vitinha from injury. The Portuguese playmaker was influential in their run to the Champions League title last season, and the midfield battle will be crucial in what should be a high-tempo, end to end affair.
Bayern will be full of confidence after dumping Real Madrid out in the quarter-finals and looking to make a statement in this first-leg against the reigning European champions. We're predicting it to end in an entertaining score draw, with the teams heading to Munich at 2-2.
With such a wealth of attacking talent on display, we feel confident backing both teams to score as part of our PSG vs Bayern bet builder. The Bundesliga champions have a remarkable record of scoring in every single competitive game this season, and we see no reason to suggest that will change here. Bayern have scored sixteen goals in four UCL knockout games, and have scored twenty goals in their last five Bundesliga games. Meanwhile, PSG have found the back of the net in every home game this season, and have scored at least twice in each of the last six Champions League games. There should be goals.
Harry Kane's goal against Mainz at the weekend took his record this season to a remarkable 53 goals in 45 games in all competitions. The England skipper has scored in each of his last five Champions League games, and only Kylian Mbappe has scored more than his 12 UCL goals in 2025/26. Kane is averaging 2.51 shots on target per 90 minutes this season, and as his case for the Ballon D'Or intensifies, we're backing Kane to be in the thick of the action once again by having at least two shots on target.
Previously a bit of a utility player, Konrad Laimer has become integral to Vincent Kompany's Bayern, playing to a high standard at both full-back positions as well as in central midfield. The Austria international has made 41 appearance this season, and is likely to start at left-back in Paris. His background as a midfielder means his ability to drift inside is key to Bayern, with Laimer tasked with breaking up counter-attacks.
Up against PSG's fearsome forward line of Dembele, Doue, Kvaratskhelia and Barcola, that is no small ask. Laimer has collected twelve yellow cards this season, including four in nine games in the Champions League. In each of his last five European games, Laimer has committed two or more fouls, and we could see him making a tactical foul to stop a transition, picking up a yellow card in the process.
