Ladbrokes share predictions for Manchester City vs Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League
Both teams backed to score, with the game ending 2-2
Erling Haaland and Ousmane Dembele tipped for two shots on target each

Manchester City's perfect start to the 2026/27 season continued on Sunday with an eighth straight win in all competitions, but they face their toughest test yet as they welcome Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain to the Etihad.
City showed no sign of being affected by the outside noise as they cruised past Liverpool at Anfield, but with PSG also arriving having won four on the bounce - including a 6-1 win in their UCL opener - the back-to-back European champions bring a whole new level of threat.

In what is undoubtedly the tie of the week, two in-form European heavyweights go head-to-head in Manchester, and we're tipping them to cancel each other out. Man City haven't tasted defeat since the Community Shield loss in August, while PSG have only lost one Champions League game since November, so in a crucial early game in the 2026/27 UCL league phase, we can see both sides settling for a satisfactory point.
Wherever PSG go these days, goals follow, and with City scoring in all eight games this season, we're expecting both sides to find the net here. Enzo Maresca's hosts have bagged 13 in their last three matches across all competitions, while Luis Enrique's visitors topped the Champions League table after GW1 having hit Slovan Bratislava for six, so with the ridiculous calibre of attacking talent on display, BTTS seems a strong selection.
Erling Haaland's strike at Anfield took him up to eight goals already this season (ignoring the three he got for Norway in the break too), so he's picked up exactly where he left off from a clinical World Cup - and we're backing him to have another two shots on target here. The big Norwegian is averaging just shy of two efforts on target per 90 in the Premier League, and scored both goals in City's Champions League opener at Porto, so looks in perfect shape to test Matvey Safonov a couple of times - potentially maintaining his record of a goal per game across his full UCL career.
Current Ballon d'Or holder Ousmane Dembele is firmly in the running for the award again after clinching back-to-back Champions Leagues, and having scored the goal to spark PSG's comeback against City in January 2025, we're backing the Frenchman for two or more shots on target at the Etihad. The 29-year-old has scored 16 Champions League goals in the last two seasons, and had three efforts on target in his side's UCL opener last month, so if anyone is going to force Gianluigi Donnarumma into action, it's the relentless Frenchman.
