Champions League quarter-finals: First-leg previews, predictions & odds

As we get down to the final eight, Ladbrokes previews the first legs of every single Champions League quarter-final, with expert predictions and live odds.

UCL favourites Arsenal take on underdogs Sporting at 8pm on April 7, with Real Madrid and second-favourites Bayern Munich facing off at the same time over in the Bernabeu.

Wednesday then sees Liverpool renew acquaintances with current holders PSG, while Barcelona and Atletico Madrid meet for the fourth time this season.

Champions League quarter-finals: First-leg previews, predictions & odds

Sporting CP vs Arsenal

Arsenal are yet to lose a Champions League game this season, hence their tag as tournament favourites, and we're tipping them to pick up a crucial first-leg victory in Lisbon. Sporting did score five in front of their own fans to reach this stage, thumping Bodo/Glimt on an unforgettable evening, and have already beaten PSG this term - but against Mikel Arteta's almost impenetrable Gunners, we're predicting a difficult night for the Portuguese outfit.

Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich

Real Madrid's reward for dispatching of Man City is a double-header with Bayern Munich, and we think the German visitors could make a real statement in Tuesday's opening leg. Vincent Kompany's side cruised through their last-16 tie with Atalanta, scoring 10 over the two games, and it's that attacking power that could give them the edge against Real Madrid this week. This is arguably the tie of the round, and our experts are tipping Bayern.

Paris Saint-Germain vs Liverpool

PSG made a mockery of Chelsea in the round of 16, with the reigning Champions League holders winning 8-2 on aggregate, and they're priced as favourites to get the better of Liverpool at the Parc des Princes. Arne Slot's side did nick a win here last season, but with patchy form and a real Premier League fight on their hands, we're expecting the Reds to just fall short at the home of the French champions.

FC Barcelona vs Atletico Madrid

Having already played each other three times this season, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid should be well equipped to face their La Liga foes - but we're tipping Barca to take an all-important lead into the second leg. Hansi Flick's side have won two of this season's fixtures - scoring three on both occasions - and after putting such a healthy haul past Newcastle in March, we're expecting Barca to secure another high-scoring home win.
