2026 Italian Grand Prix: Race preview, tips & favourites

After winning consecutive races for the first time since November, Lando Norris heads the market ahead of the Italian Grand Prix, with the reigning world champion slowly closing in on F1 World Championship leader, Kimi Antonelli.

Antonelli has only won one of the last six races having won five of the six before that, and still has a healthy lead over his Mercedes teammate George Russell in the Drivers' Standings, but with the likes of Norris picking up some real form, the pressure is starting to build on the young Italian.

As a result, Antonelli is only priced as the fifth-favourite ahead of the Italian GP, with George Russell, Lewis Hamilton, and Charles Leclerc all given a better chance of victory by the bookies.

It's the first time this season that Antonelli has had such long odds, which may turn out to offer real value, but he's down with Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri in the chasing pack.

Despite the odds turning against Antonelli for the first time this season, our experts are backing the teenager to come out on top in his home race, with Lando Norris continuing his fine form and running him very close. Isack Hadjar's return/absence will play a part in the rest of the field, but assuming he misses out again, here is our predicted grid.
