Huge NFC West clash sees Rams travel to Seahawks
Bears battle Packers for NFC North crown
We are at the time of the NFL season where the league fills the Saturday spot left by the college football regular season, and we get two such games this week with both important in the NFC playoff race. Here’s a look at all Week 16 games with NFL odds, played Sunday unless noted.
NFL Week 16 Predictions: Best Picks Against the Spread
Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks, Thursday
Point spread: Rams -1.5
Arguably the biggest regular-season game in the NFL remaining as the clubs are tied for the NFC West lead and the conference’s best record at 11-3. So the winner is in the driver’s seat for the top seed and that first-round bye. Both won home games Sunday, although Seattle was nearly upset by Indianapolis. It took a Jason Myers 56-yard field goal with under 30 seconds left to win. The Rams beat the Seahawks, 21-19 in Week 11 when Myers came up short and wide right from 61 yards as time expired.
Pick ATS: Seattle
Philadelphia Eagles at Washington Commanders, Saturday
Point spread: Eagles -6
Washington is playing out the string but did snap an eight-game losing streak Sunday with a 29-21 win at the Giants playing yet again without injured starting QB Jayden Daniels. That skid was tied for the longest in league history by any team in season after making a conference title game. The Eagles snapped a three-game skid Sunday with an easy 31-0 win over Las Vegas, their largest shutout win since 1990. Philly could clinch the NFC East this week. It’s the first meeting this year between division rivals.
Pick ATS: Philadelphia
Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears, Saturday
Point spread: Packers -1.5
Huge in the NFC North and possibly for the No. 1 seed in the conference. Chicago crushed Cleveland on Sunday, 31-3 for its largest win since 2020 despite playing another game without injured WR Rome Odunze. Green Bay led the North entering Week 15 but lost in Denver and is now a half-game back of the Bears. But the Packers won the earlier meeting, 28-21 at home in Week 14. Keisan Nixon picked off Caleb Williams' pass in the end zone with 22 seconds remaining.
Pick ATS: Chicago
Buffalo Bills at Cleveland Browns
Point spread: Bills -10
Buffalo kept its AFC East hopes alive with an impressive 35-31 win at New England, overcoming a 21-0 deficit, tied for the biggest in team history on the road. It matched the largest comeback win in NFL history vs. a team on double-digit winning streak. Cleveland looked utterly disinterested Sunday in a 31-3 loss in Chicago. But pass-rusher Myles Garrett had 1.5 sacks and now has 21.5 on the year, one shy of tying the NFL record.
Pick ATS: Cleveland (alt +10.5)
Los Angeles Chargers at Dallas Cowboys
Point spread: Cowboys -1.5
The Chargers ended the Kansas City Chiefs’ dynasty on Sunday with a 16-13 road win to sweep that AFC West series for the first time since 2013. Justin Herbert passed Patrick Mahomes for the second-most passing yards in a player’s first six seasons in NFL history (24,284). The Cowboys weren’t eliminated from playoff contention with a 34-26 home upset loss on Sunday night to Minnesota, but it’s over. Mr. Clutch kicker Brandon Aubrey missed two kicks in a game for just the third time career and first this year.
Pick ATS: Dallas
Kansas City Chiefs at Tennessee Titans
Point spread: Chiefs -3.5
The King is dead! Kansas City’s amazing run of making the playoffs every season 2015 ended with a 16-13 home loss to the Chargers to be eliminated and to make thing much, much worse, Patrick Mahomes tore his ACL. So now it will be a race to be ready for Week 1 in 2026. The Titans haven’t won at home yet, but this sure feels like “who cares” game for the Chiefs. Rookie No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward had two TD passes in Sunday’s loss at the 49ers, marking his first back-to-back games with at least two in the NFL.
Pick ATS: Tennessee
Cincinnati Bengals at Miami Dolphins
Point spread: Bengals -2.5
Miami would have been eliminated from AFC playoff contention with a loss on Monday night in Pittsburgh to close Week 15. Cincinnati was eliminated on Sunday in a shockingly ugly 24-0 home loss to Baltimore, marking the first time the Bengals were blanked with Joe Burrow under centre. He entered the game 10-0 in his NFL career in Week 15 or later. Little chance coach Zac Taylor is back in 2026.
Pick ATS: Miami
New York Jets at New Orleans Saints
Point spread: Saints -4.5
Absolutely nothing to see here with both long eliminated from playoff contention. New Orleans did pull a home upset on Sunday, 20-17 over Carolina to damage the Panthers’ playoff hopes and for a second straight win. Tyler Shough threw for 272 yards and a TD to become the first rookie QB to win back-to-back starts in franchise history. The Jets were blown out Sunday by Jacksonville and have now gone 14 straight games without a defensive interception, tying for the longest streak all-time.
Pick ATS: New York
Minnesota Vikings at New York Giants
Point spread: Vikings -2.5
Both are eliminated from playoff contention, and the rest of the season is all about experience for young quarterbacks. The Vikings won a second straight Sunday night, a 34-26 upset in Dallas, but was eliminated earlier in the day. QB JJ McCarthy now has at least three total TDs in all four of 2025 wins and just two total TDs in his four losses. New York lost, 29-21, at home to Washington. Jaxson Dart had two pass TDs but yet again was evaluated for a concussion during the game. He did return.
Pick ATS: Minnesota
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Carolina Panthers
Point spread: Bucs -3
These two are atop the NFC South and play again Week 18 in Tampa. Both had horrible losses Sunday. The Bucs blew a 14-point fourth-quarter home lead and were stunned by Atlanta. It was the team’s first loss when leading by at least 14 in the fourth since 2003. Carolina has now amazingly lost 12 straight games as a favourite as it was as it was -2.5 on Sunday in New Orleans but beaten 20-17. It was the Panthers’ first loss in a game decided by three or fewer points this season.
Pick ATS: Carolina (alt +3.5)
Jacksonville Jaguars at Denver Broncos
Point spread: Broncos -3
Possible AFC playoff preview with Denver atop the AFC West and already having clinched a spot in the post-season, and Jacksonville leading the AFC South by a game. The Broncos won their 11th straight game Sunday in a possible Super Bowl preview vs. Green Bay, 34-26. It was their 11th comeback win this season, tying the 2024 Chiefs for the most. Jacksonville crushed the Jets, 48-20, for a fifth straight win. Trevor Lawrence had five passing TDs and one rushing, becoming the first Jaguars QB to ever do that and only the fifth NFL player to do so in the Super Bowl era.
Pick ATS: Denver (alt -2.5)
Atlanta Falcons at Arizona Cardinals
Point spread: Falcons -2.5
Both these clubs are long eliminated from playoff contention and may both have new head coaches in 2026. The Falcons rallied from 14 down on Sunday in Tampa to stun the Bucs, the team’s largest fourth-quarter comeback win since 1993. Atlanta had been winless in its past 133 such games. The Cardinals were routed in Houston, 40-20. They have lost six straight and tied the worst 14-game start (3-11) in franchise history.
Pick ATS: Arizona (alt +3)
Pittsburgh Steelers at Detroit Lions
Point spread: Lions -7
Pittsburgh hosted Miami on Monday night to conclude Week 15 without superstar pass-rusher TJ Watt, who was hurt last week in a bit of a freak treatment accident that caused him to need surgery for a partially collapsed lung. Not clear if Watt could return in Week 16. It’s all but a must-win for the Lions, who allowed 41 points Sunday in a loss at the Rams and are outside the NFC playoff field. Amon-Ra St. Brown in the loss became the first player in NFL history with at least 90 receptions in each of his first five NFL seasons.
Pick ATS: Detroit (alt -6.5)
Las Vegas Raiders at Houston Texans
Point spread: Texans -14.5
Las Vegas is truly inept offensively and was clobbered 31-0 in Philadelphia on Sunday for an eighth straight loss. The Pete Carroll experiment at head coach has been a bust. The Raiders became only the second team in NFL history to be shut out by both teams that made Super Bowl in previous season as they were earlier in the year by Kansas City. Houston won its sixth in a row, 40-20 over Arizona, to stay on first-place Jacksonville’s heels in the AFC South.
Pick ATS: Las Vegas
New England Patriots at Baltimore Ravens
Point spread: Ravens -2.5
This was flexed into the Sunday night spot. New England could have clinched the AFC East on Sunday with a win over Buffalo but had an 11-game winning streak snapped in a quite painful way, blowing a 21-point lead in 35-31 home loss. The Pats still control their destiny for the division but don’t for the AFC’s top seed. It snapped the Patriots’ 120-game home winning streak when leading a game by at least 17 points, which was the longest in league history. Baltimore got a big 24-0 win in Cincinnati to keep right on pace with Pittsburgh in the AFC North. Lamar Jackson is now 16-0 in career in Week 15 or later.
Pick ATS: Baltimore
San Francisco 49ers at Indianapolis Colts, Monday
Point spread: 49ers -5.5
Both clubs have playoff hopes but Indy needs this much more sitting outside the AFC field having lost four straight since an 8-2 start. Philip Rivers, a 44-year-old grandfather who last played in the NFL in the 2020 season was signed off the street last week and started Sunday for the Colts in Seattle, a last-second 18-16 loss. Rivers had 120 passing yards, his fewest since Week 17 in 2009. The Niners are trending the right way on a four-game winning streak after a 37-24 defeat of Tennessee on Sunday. The offence has taken off since QB Brock Purdy returned from injury in Week 11.
Pick ATS: San Francisco
