NFL RedZone betting tips for Week 16
Cleveland Browns vs Buffalo Bills
Buffalo came back from 21-0 down to pull off a massive 35-31 win on the road against the AFC East leading Patriots, to claw themselves back to within a game of the division lead. Reigning MVP Josh Allen's performances in recent weeks have thrust him back into the conversation to win it again, and with the Chiefs out of contention the path could finally be beginning to clear for the Bills. The Browns were walloped 31-3 by the Bears last week, and though there have been glimpses from quarterback Shedeur Sanders, at 3-11 Cleveland is ready for the season to end. Myles Garrett is within one sack of the NFL record, but that's about all to play for them. We're backing the Bills, fresh off a statement win, to cover the large spread on the road.
Pick: Bills -9.5
Dallas Cowboys vs Los Angeles Chargers
The Chargers came through for us last week covering the spread and actually winning outright against the Chiefs, to officially eliminate Kansas City from the playoffs. That win moved LA to 10-4 and they're still in contention for the AFC West title. Dallas suffered a bad loss at home to Minnesota last week which likely rules them out of the postseason, a shame considering how entertaining their offense is every week, but their defense has continually let them down. The Chargers are the underdogs at the moment, but have much more to play for, so we're rolling with them for another week and this time backing them to win outright.
Pick: Chargers money line
Denver Broncos vs Jacksonville Jaguars
A big clash in the AFC as the number one seed in the conference Denver Broncos host the AFC South leading Jacksonville Jaguars. Denver proved they're a true Super Bowl contender with their 34-26 win over Green Bay last week, a win which took them to 12-2 on the year. The Jags under rookie head coach Liam Coen have been one of the stories of the season and look good for a playoff spot, but have the Texans breathing down their neck after six wins in a row. The Broncos are yet to lose at home this season, and we think they'll secure another narrow victory here.
Pick: Broncos -2.5
Detroit Lions vs Pittsburgh Steelers
Two northern 8-6 teams meet on Sunday afternoon. The Lions are on the brink after a 41-34 loss to the Rams last week, and probably need to win out if they're to make the playoffs, just a year after finishing as the NFC's top seed. Detroit have won fifteen games in a row after a loss, stretching back to 2022, but also haven't defeated the Steelers in the 21st century and Aaron Rodgers tormented Ford Field during his time as a Packer. Pittsburgh leads the AFC North after back-to-back wins but their season is likely to come down to their huge Week 18 clash against the Ravens. This one is a must-have for Detroit, and we're backing them to win by a touchdown.
Pick: Lions -6.5
