Sean Levey Newmarket Thursday rides blog: 'I don't see why he can't run a career best'

Lebron Power – 1.50 Newmarket

Lebron Power is a nice filly and nearly got black type last year. She is a fast filly by a good stallion, Starman. She has done well over winter. This is a handicap so she will have to improve if she is going to be competitive.

Dark Whisper – 2.25 Newmarket

Dark Whisper runs in the Wood Ditton and it is very famously a good maiden that comes up with all sorts of different horses who are really well bred from top yards. My horse for David Menuisier is very well behaved, has worked nicely and has given the impression that he is ready to start. The trip shouldn’t be an issue, nor is the ground, and he should know what he is doing.

Aramram – 3.00 Newmarket

He started the season with a massive performance and went up 6lbs for it which was justified really. He is a favourite of ours. He is obviously going to have to find a career best in a race like this but I don’t see why he can’t. He is very straightforward; he started the year by getting his head in front which should give him the confidence to find that improvement. He has form at the track, and I just hope he is good enough. I think he will be my best chance today.
