Ladbrokes share predictions for Sunderland vs Arsenal in the Premier League
Arsenal predicted to win 2-0, with Martin Odegaard tipped for a shot on target
Sunderland expected to fail to score, with Granit Xhaka picking up a card against his former club

Arsenal have made the perfect start to their Premier League title defence with three wins from three, and as they take on a Sunderland side looking forward to their first proper European campaign, the Gunners seem well placed to continue their early charge.
Their hard-earned win in Naples on Wednesday night will only strengthen the belief within Arsenal's camp, and with Mikel Arteta's men arriving as firm favourites to get the better of their hosts, Sunderland could have a difficult evening ahead - but can they repeat last year's heroics and nick a result off the champions?
Below, you'll find our Sunderland vs Arsenal betting preview, featuring expert predictions, Bet Builder tips, and the latest match odds ahead of Saturday evening's eye-catching clash.

After scoring the winner in Naples, Martin Odegaard has already quadrupled his goal tally from last season (if you include the Community Shield) and is proving his worth as the Gunners' creative hub - so we're tipping him to threaten again this weekend. The Arsenal skipper is averaging roughly a shot on target per 90 in the league, and now has four goals in his last five games across all competitions, so on a night where we're expecting the visitors to enjoy most of the ball, Odegaard is our pick for an effort on target.
It would almost be an understatement to say that Arsenal have become renowned for keeping things tight at the back, and with Sunderland only managing to score three goals so far, we're predicting a difficult day in front of goal for the Black Cats. The Gunners have only conceded one goal in three Premier League games this term, and having conceded two at the Stadium of Light last term, they'll be coming with a very clear incentive - keep Sunderland out.
Lining up against his former club for the second time, Granit Xhaka will be tasked with making things tick in the Sunderland midfield, but having been booked in this fixture last season, we're expecting history to repeat itself on Saturday. The 33-year-old is completing more than 11 defensive contributions per game in the Black Cats engine room, and has already picked up a card this season, so as he strives to knock Declan Rice and Co. off their stride, Xhaka is our pick for a card at the Stadium of Light.
With maximum points so far, Arsenal are still the bookies' favourites to win the 2026/27 Premier League, and we're backing the reigning champions to maintain their perfect start with another victory in the North-East. Sunderland haven't been too convincing to this point, and will also have half an eye on their Europa League match the following week, so we can't see the hosts causing Mikel Arteta's men too many problems - with the Gunners cruising to a relatively comfortable away win to make it four from four.
