The first game in our midweek treble is Porto vs Manchester City, as two teams with perfect domestic records go head-to-head in the Champions League.
Five wins from five have Porto sitting pretty at the top of Liga Portugal, while Man City lead the way in the Premier League after winning all their their first three, so we're all set for a high-quality clash between two confident - and clinical - sides at the Estadio Do Dragao.
Porto have scored 11 goals in their last five games, scoring at least two in every single match, and with Man City bagging seven times in their last three, both defences are in for a tough evening in Portugal.
Erling Haaland has started to find his feet after a quiet couple of weeks, and Porto's William Gomes has two in two, so both teams boast in-form attackers ready to impress on the European stage - and with that in mind, we're backing over 2.5 goals here.
Fifteen-time winners Real Madrid are synonymous with the Champions League, but having failed to reach the semi-finals in each of the last two seasons, they come into this campaign with something of a point to prove - starting against Inter Milan.
Inter are notorious for being solid defensively, only conceding seven goals in the UCL league phase last season, but Real Madrid's attacking pack of Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham is very rarely kept quiet - with seven goals between them in their last four games.
The Spaniards did actually fail to score at the weekend, but they haven't drawn a blank in consecutive games since November 2025, which spells trouble for an Inter side who conceded twice (on their way to winning) on Saturday.
In the headline fixture of the night, we're anticipating fireworks, so over 2.5 goals in this one seems a decent pick.
Millwall vs Newcastle might not carry quite the same excitement as the games above, but that's not to say we won't see a thoroughly entertaining affair at the Den, with this Carabao Cup clash completing our football special for Tuesday, September 8.
The Premier League side have scored at least twice in all four of their matches this season, including three in the previous round of this competition, so they won't need any help in finding the back of the net here - even if they do rotate their starting XI.
Millwall are also no strangers to scoring goals, with the Lions notching four times in a resounding Championship win on Saturday, and as one of the division's highest-scoring outfits, they'll cause the Newcastle defence plenty of problems.
At the same time, neither team can boast amazing defensive records this season, with Millwall conceding eight in their last three, and Newcastle conceding six in their last four - so between two teams who seem to guarantee goals, we're tipping over 2.5 again.
