Ladbrokes' football tips - Wednesday, October 28, 2026: Teenagers tipped to assist in 22/1 Carabao Cup double

Manchester City vs Brighton: Ryan McAidoo to get an assist

At just 18 years old, Ryan McAidoo is already making quite the impression at Manchester City, and not only are we backing him to earn his first-ever senior start, but we're also tipping him to mark the occasion with an assist.

The teenager got his first Champions League assist off the bench last week in City's thrashing of AEK Athens, setting up Phil Foden for his hat-trick less than 15 minutes after coming on, and having already bagged his first senior goal in the Carabao Cup third round, all the signs point to another impressive impact from the speedy winger here.

McAidoo had three shots in just 45 minutes in that third-round victory over Norwich, and against a potentially rotated Brighton backline, our experts are backing him to cause the Seagulls plenty of problems at the Etihad - crowning the night with his second assist of the season.

Liverpool vs Chelsea: Rio Ngumoha to get an assist

From one tricky winger to another, Liverpool's Rio Ngumoha is one of the brightest teenagers on the planet, with three England caps to his name already - and we're tipping him to make his mark from the start on Wednesday night with another assist.

The 18-year-old burst onto the scene last season with a dramatic winner in the Premier League, but has never actually registered a goal or assist in the Carabao Cup, so this clash with Chelsea presents an opportunity for the lively forward to tick off another milestone - especially if he maintains his EFL Cup average of well over a chance created per 90.

Ngumoha is also averaging more than one successful cross per 90 in the Premier League this season, and has created four chances in the Champions League already - notching two assists - so no matter the competition, the teenager is always primed to have his say in front of goal.
