Wimbledon semi-finals preview and predictions
Jannik Sinner vs Novak Djokovic
Jannik Sinner takes on Novak Djokovic in the semi-finals as he looks to reach his first Wimbledon final. The world number one has won their last four meetings, including a straight-sets win in the semi-finals at Roland Garros, but Djokovic leads 2-0 on grass after beating Sinner here in 2022 and 2023.
Both players have had injury concerns this fortnight, with Sinner’s elbow a potential factor over five sets. It’s tough to call, but with Djokovic chasing what could be one of his last Grand Slam titles, and his grass-court record against Sinner, we’re backing the seven-time Wimbledon champion to just about edge it. Read our full Sinner vs Djokovic preview here.
Aryna Sabalenka vs Amanda Anisimova
Aryna Sabalenka meets Amanda Anisimova in the semi-finals as she continues her quest for a first Wimbledon title. The world number one has been dominant for much of the tournament, though she was pushed to three sets by Laura Siegemund in the quarters. Anisimova, seeded 13th, has impressed all week and arrives full of confidence after a composed win over Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.
Anisimova leads their head-to-head 5-3, winning their first four meetings, but Sabalenka has won three of the last four, including their last two Grand Slam clashes. This will be their first meeting on grass, and while Anisimova’s aggressive baseline game could test Sabalenka, we’re backing the world number one’s power and recent dominance in this rivalry to see her through. Read our full Sabalenka vs Anisimova preview here.
Iga Swiatek vs Belinda Bencic
Iga Swiatek takes on Belinda Bencic in the semi-finals as she bids to reach her first Wimbledon final. The Polish star has looked more comfortable on grass this year, dropping just one set en route to the last four and beating Liudmila Samsonova in straight sets in the quarters. Bencic, playing just her second Grand Slam since returning from maternity leave, has been in excellent form, ending Mirra Andreeva’s unbeaten set streak with an impressive quarter-final win.
Swiatek leads their head-to-head 3-1, including a tight three-set victory here in 2023, and while Bencic’s aggressive game could push her again, we’re backing Swiatek’s movement and consistency to see her through in three sets. Read our full Swiatek vs Bencic preview here.
Carlos Alcaraz vs Taylor Fritz
Carlos Alcaraz takes on Taylor Fritz in the semi-finals as he continues his bid for a third straight Wimbledon title. The defending champion has been tested at times this fortnight, needing five sets against Fabio Fognini and dropping a set to Andrey Rublev, but looked back to his best in his quarter-final win over Cameron Norrie.
Fritz is enjoying his best ever run at Wimbledon, reaching his first semi-final after growing into the tournament following an early five-set scare. His big serve and flat hitting have been major weapons on grass, and he’ll need both firing to trouble Alcaraz. The Spaniard leads their head-to-head 2-0 and tends to raise his game at this stage of Wimbledon. While Fritz has the tools to make this competitive, we’re backing Alcaraz to overcome him in four sets. Read our full Alcaraz vs Fritz preview here.

Wimbledon 2025 odds: who are the main contenders?
Wimbledon Men's Singles winner odds
Carlos Alcaraz is the favourite for the Wimbledon 2025 Men’s Singles championship after adding the Queen’s title to his French Open win. Jannik Sinner follows closely behind, with the pair almost inseparable in the market after their Roland Garros classic.
Novak Djokovic is next in the betting as he chases an eighth Wimbledon crown and a record 25th Slam, while Taylor Fritz has had an impressive run on grass and can't be counted out.
Wimbledon Ladies' Singles winner odds
Aryna Sabalenka leads the women’s field as world No.1, having reached seven finals this year despite falling short in Melbourne and Paris. Iga Swiatek, so dominant on clay, is still seeking her first deep run at Wimbledon.
Amanda Anisimova, who's seen fellow Americans Coco Gauff, Madison Keys and Jessica Pegula all eliminated, is also in with a shot, while Belinda Bencic is the surprise package in the last four and has gold medal winning pedigree.
