Ladbrokes share predictions for Ipswich Town vs Arsenal in the Carabao Cup third round
Eberechi Eze and Viktor Gyokeres are tipped to provide Arsenal's main goal threat
The Gunners are tipped to win 3-0, securing their place in the fourth round

Arsenal begin their Carabao Cup journey in the third round away at Ipswich Town looking to go one better than last season, which saw them lose in the final.
The Gunners won the Premier League but were denied the chance to add to their silverware with a 2-0 defeat against Manchester City in 2025/26, and they will head to Portman Road with aims fully focused on eventually getting to Wembley once again. Mikel Arteta is, however, likely to give a host of his young and fringe stars a chance to impress in the cup, while the Tractor Boys will be keen for an upset off the back of a 3-2 win over Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

We should see Eberechi Eze given a chance in this game, having been forced to settle for appearances off the bench for Arsenal so far this season. The England forward will be keen to stake a claim for a starting spot and averaged three shots per 90 in the Premier League last term. With Eze set to play the full match, we expect that trend to continue.
Another summer signing from last season who has not featured much for the Gunners so far, we are expecting Viktor Gyokeres to lead the line in East Anglia. Gyokeres averaged just under a shot on target per match last season and should get plenty of chances against an Ipswich side who will struggle to avoid defeat.
Ladbrokes' experts have opted for Arsenal to grab at least three goals for our third pick. The Gunners have scored 12 goals in their first six games of the season, employing a more expansive style than in recent years. While Arsenal's biggest stars will be rested, there will still be enough attacking quality on show for Arteta's men to find the net a few times.
Finally, we're backing Arsenal to continue their perfect start to the season by progressing to the fourth round with a victory in 90 minutes. Ipswich havealready shown they will be competitive in the Premier League this season, but surviving relegation is likely to be their priority over a cup run and that's why all the signs point to a Gunners victory.
