Ladbrokes share predictions for Manchester City vs AEK Athens in the Champions League
Man City predicted to win 3-0, as AEK Athens struggle to impose themselves
Iliman Ndiaye backed to score his first Champions League goal, while Lazaros Rota picks up a card

After suffering their first defeat of the season at home to PSG last week, Manchester City return to Champions League action with a clash against Greek champions AEK Athens, and the bookies are expecting them to bounce straight back.
Enzo Maresca's men scraped past Ipswich in the Premier League on Saturday to maintain their perfect domestic record, but recent European deficiencies appeared again on a humbling night to leave them mid-table after two games, and with so much outside noise, are some small cracks starting to show?

Iliman Ndiaye hasn't managed to score for Manchester City yet, but with two assists in his last two games, the Senegal international is starting to find his feet - so we're tipping him to bag his first goal for the club this week. The winger has never actually scored in the Champions League either, but having made such an impressive impact off the bench against PSG, he looks primed to break his duck - especially if he can carry over his Premier League average of roughly two shots per 90.
While the Greek champions are more than adept at finding the back of the net, with former Real Madrid frontman Luka Jovic leading the line, it's the quality of Manchester City's defence that has prompted us to predict under 0.5 goals for AEK Athens at the Etihad. City may have conceded nine goals in their last three home games, including four to PSG last week, but five clean sheets in their last eight matches across all competitions proves their strength - and with the hosts having a point to prove, we can't see the visitors getting much of a chance in front of goal.
We've already mentioned AEK Athens' right-hand side, with seven of Shakhtar Donetsk's 12 shots on goal coming from that area last week, and if City target the same flank, we think full-back Lazaros Rota could be in for a brutal night - picking up a card. The 29-year-old is committing almost two fouls per 90 in both the Greek Super League and the Champions League, and has collected three yellow cards already this season, so against a determined Man City attack, it's no wonder Rota is the bookies' favourite for a card here.
On a night where City have no choice but to bounce back from that defeat to PSG, we're predicting a confident performance to blow AEK Athens away - so Man City to win both halves is the final leg of our Champions League Bet Builder. The Premier League leaders rarely have any trouble creating shooting opportunities, with 18 goals and a staggering 91 shots in their last five games across all competitions, and with goal difference so crucial in the league phase, Maresca's men aren't likely to hold back in either half here.
