NFL London betting odds: Browns vs Vikings preview & prediction
Vikings slight favourites at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
In what is a 'home' game for the Browns on the schedule, it's Minnesota who are slight favourites in the build-up, with the spread currently at -3.5 points.
Carson Wentz is set to start again for the Vikings at quarterback in place of the injured JJ McCarthy. The former Eagles QB has a win and a loss in his two starts, with four touchdowns and two interceptions.
Cleveland have named rookie Dillon Gabriel as their new starting quarterback, replacing Joe Flacco. 40-year-old Flacco had thrown just two touchdowns to six interceptions in his four starts in 2025. The Browns have opted for Gabriel, a third-round draft pick out of Oregon, over the much-discussed Shedeur Sanders.
The Vikings are on an extended road trip, having featured in the first ever NFL match in Dublin last weekend. Minnesota lost 24-21 to the Pittsburgh Steelers, which was the first time they've lost an overseas game in their five matches abroad.
It's the second consecutive year that the Vikings have made an appearance in London, after beating the New York Jets 23-17 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in Week 5 last season.
The Browns make their first trip to the UK since 2017, when their opponents were.... the Minnesota Vikings. A Case Keenum-led Vikings emerged victorious on that occasion, with the final score 33-16.
Minnesota arrive at 2-2 after that loss in Dublin, and need to pick up wins in what looks to be another strong NFC North division. The Browns are 1-3, with their lone win a shock upset against the Green Bay Packers. Expectations are low in Cleveland, but their AFC North rivals Bengals and Ravens have injuries to star QBs Joe Burrow and Lamar Jackson, so they will hope Gabriel provides a spark.
The rookie faces a tough challenge reviving this offensive unit, with Cleveland ranked 31st for points per game (14) and 27th for yards per game. On the defense, Myles Garrett continues to be a game-wrecker, with four sacks already. He leads the number one ranked defense in yards per game.
Minnesota also has a top-ten defense in yards and points allowed, with defensive coordinator Brian Flores' scheme continuing to flummox quarterbacks. With quarterback questions on both sides, and two strong defensive units, the Over/Under points total comes in at a low 36.5.
Anytime touchdown scorer markets
The anaemic Cleveland offense has scored just five touchdowns, with wide receiver Cedric Tillman and rookie running back Quinshon Judkins contributing two apiece. Tillman has been placed on injured reserve, so the Browns need others to step up.
On the other hand, Minnesota have eight different touchdown scorers this season, with running back Jordan Mason leading with two, which both came in a 48-10 win over the Bengals. The likes of Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison are constant threats in the redzone.
Justin Jefferson the headline act in London
British fans will have the chance to see superstar Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson for the second straight year in Tottenham. Jefferson had 92 receiving yards in that win over the Jets, and ranks 5th in the league this year after his 126-yard game against the Steelers.
His pairing with Jordan Addison is one of the most dangerous in the league, with Addison putting up 114 yards in his first game of the season last week on return from suspension. Jalen Nailor and tight end TJ Hockenson are also reliable options for Wentz.
Cleveland's offense has been so uninspiring that a change was needed, with Jerry Jeudy and David Njoku yet to live up to expectations, relative to the known quality that they possess as pass-catchers. No Browns player has more than 200 receiving yards for the season, but rookie tight end Harold Fannin Jr looks a promising prospect and leads the team in receptions.
After the season-ending injury to Aaron Jones, the Vikings rushing workload will depend heavily on Jordan Mason throughout 2025. Mason is averaging 4.8 yards per carry, and had a standout game against Cincinnati with 116 yards on the ground to go with his two touchdowns.
Cleveland looks to have had a successful draft, with second-round pick Judkins a rare bright spark on offense, averaging 79 rushing yards a game and adding two touchdowns. Fannin Jr. and #5 overall pick defensive tackle Mason Graham have made an immediate impact, and now the Browns will see if their rookie quarterback(s) can add to that.
Browns vs Vikings prediction, best bets
All the signs point to it being a battle of attrition, with two unsettled quarterback situations coming up against two elite defenses that are highly familiar with their coordinators' schemes. The Jim Schwartz-led Browns unit will look to get pressure on Wentz as often as possible, limiting the time for the Vikings wide receivers to get open.
The unknown factors is how rookie QB Gabriel will fare on his first NFL start, which comes in a difficult environment in an international game against a strong defense. The Vikings have a knack of forcing turnovers, and you wouldn't rule out another defensive touchdown from them.
We think Minnesota will bounce back from the loss in Dublin and continue their good record in the UK, winning a low-scoring match that just about clears the points total.
Prediction: Vikings 24-13 Browns
Best bets:
Justin Jefferson over 67.5 yards
Vikings -3.5
