Firstly, we're tipping both teams to find the net in what should be an entertaining game between two established European sides. The pair played out a 2-2 thriller in the Nations League final 12 months ago, with Portugal winning on penalties, and we think a similarly end-to-end game could be on the cards.
La Roja are actually yet to concede at this tournament, but Portugal are undoubtedly the fiercest side they have come up against and it would be a surprise to see their might of talent kept completely quiet.
Thursday's 3-0 win over Austria in the Round of 16 was undoubtedly Lamine Yamal's best performance at the World Cup yet as he appears to be getting up to speed at the perfect time after some injury troubles at the start of the tournament.
All that was missing from his display in Los Angeles was a goal, having had four shots on target, including one which was cleared off the line late on. In the biggest of Spain's games yet, we think the 18-year-old will make his mark by opening his account for the tournament.
Similarly to Yamal, Portugal star Ronaldo produced his finest performance at the tournament yet to help the Selecao get the better of Croatia, scoring the opener from the penalty spot before he had a tidy finish ruled out for a narrow offside.
Despite his frustrations at being substituted in that game, he is likely to lead the line once again and get shots away at goal at every opportunity.
Despite Spain being the favourites, there will be plenty of chances in this for Portugal, and Ronaldo feels like the obvious to pick in the goals market, having scored three and produced 1.8 shots on target per game so far.
Finally, we're predicting Spain to seal qualification to the World Cup quarter-finals for the first time since winning it in 2010, but the victory may end up coming in extra-time or even penalties.
While Portugal carry an abundance of threat, Spain look a more settled outfit and proved at the Euros two years ago that they are capable of runs to the latter stages. Our experts believe it is the end of the road for Ronaldo in the Round of 16.
