ASCOT

3.35 - Action

We start things off at Ascot in the big one, where I'm on Action. He's a beautiful horse and a foregoing sort. I'd imagine he'll do what he did in the Derby last time. As far as the race itself is concerned, Benvenuto Cellini is a very good horse, and he showed that when he got his conditions in the Irish Derby. But he's going to have to be more than just a very good horse to beat Calandagan here, as this is a situation where he's getting his optimum conditions.

4.45 - Christian David

Christian David only ran a week ago, and did really well on ground that hasn't been suiting him. He's going to meet the same sort of ground here, while also stepping up in class. We'll be hoping that carrying that sort of weight will bring some sort of improvement to him, but we'd have to be leaning on the side of hopeful to get any sort of result here.
