Fabian Hurzeler's Brighton side have been one of the most impressive to watch in the early part of the Premier League season. The Seagulls are the division's top scorers with 16 goals in five games and are riding high after an impressive 3-0 win over champions Arsenal.
After a superb 7th-placed finish on their return to the top-flight, it's been a bit tougher on Sunderland this time around, though they were unfortunate in defeats to Arsenal and Manchester City. However, striker Brian Brobbey was injured on international duty after scoring a hat-trick at the Etihad, and that could give the visitors the edge. We're predicting a narrow Brighton win as their fine form continues.
There have been 13 goals in Brighton's two away league games this season, as well as five more in the Carabao Cup when they beat Manchester United. Sunderland have only failed to score once this season in seven games in all competitions, and put in a good attacking display in their 5-3 defeat at Man City. We're backing both teams to score.
It looks like it could be a breakout season for Charalampos Kostoulas, who already has four goals and three assists in eight games for Brighton this season. The 19-year-old Greek striker only made two league starts in his debut campaign last season, but has already matched his goal tally after scoring in back-to-back wins against Coventry and Arsenal. We're tipping Kostoulas to continue his good form by having at least one shot on target against Sunderland.
Pascal Gross has been one of the stars of the Premier League season so far, particularly if you've got him in your FPL team. The 35-year-old German is ageing like a fine wine and already has three goals and four assists in five league games. We think Gross will run the show again here, and we reckon he'll have at least one shot on target.
