Liverpool are stuttering towards the end of the season, without a win in their previous three games, but they'll want to finish the campaign on a high note in front of their home fans. It's been a disappointing title defence from Arne Slot's side, who are currently 5th. A win on the final day, combined with a loss for Aston Villa, would see Liverpool finish 4th and also result in 6th-place qualifying for the Champions League.
It's been a fantastic first season in charge of Brentford for Keith Andrews, who's in the conversation for manager of the season, with The Bees sitting in 9th with a game remaining. They could still finish as high as 7th, which may be enough for a Europa League place, and a first ever appearance in Europe would be a fantastic achievement for the west Londoners.
Although Brentford have given Liverpool problems at the Gtech in the past, it's been a different story at Anfield, where Liverpool have won all four of their meetings since Brentford arrived in the Premier League. In what will be an emotional atmosphere as Mo Salah and Andy Robertson bid farewell to the home faithful, we think Liverpool will have enough to get past a a solid Brentford side, and we're predicting a 2-1 home win.
After a run of five wins in six away games in early 2026, Brentford's away form has cooled and they're without a win in four, but they were arguably unlucky to come away with nothing from two trips to Manchester. They missed a plethora of chances at the Etihad, and may get a few at the weekend with Liverpool only keeping one clean sheet in their last ten games. So for the next leg of our Liverpool vs Brentford bet builder, we're picking both teams to score.
We're backing Mo Salah to sign off in style at Anfield by grabbing a goal, a fitting farewell for an all-time Premier League great. The Egyptian King may no longer be at the peak of his powers, but with 257 career goals for Liverpool - third all-time - there's no disputing his greatness. Salah has a fantastic record against Brentford, with seven goals in eight games against them, including in the reverse fixture earlier this season. We reckon he'll torment them one last time at Anfield on Sunday.
Former Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson has been in the headlines this week after his inclusion in England's World Cup squad, and he'll want to prove his doubters wrong with a reminder of his quality against his former team. The veteran midfielder has collected five yellow cards this season, including in his previous away game at Manchester City, and he could be a bit too eager and end up picking up another booking here.
