Cut A Dash - Goodwood - 2.25 race odds
Shadow King - Goodwood - 4.45 race odds
Elevating - Goodwood - 5.20 race odds
Abundant - Goodwood - 5.55 race odds
Cut A Dash ran a massive race in the Coventry and you could argue he was a little bit green as it was only his second run. It felt as though he had come on for the run which he has done mentally anyway. The track should suit. Six furlongs is fine for now and it feels as though he will step up to seven in time. There is no doubt he is a good horse, and I would imagine he is there to run a massive race. I hold him in high regard.
Shadow King done well to win last time at Doncaster with the addition of blinkers helping him. He put his best foot forward on that occasion. He runs with a 6lb penalty which I imagine will be hard for him to defy in a such an open handicap where there is no doubt going to be a lot of unexposed improving types. He has a nice draw which will help. If he can defy the fact that he only ran a week ago and the penalty, he will prove himself to be a decent horse. On his homework he certainly is, he just hasn’t shown it on the track yet.
Elevating ran really well first time out at York. She should run a nice race, but there is a huge question mark over whether she can defy the draw. It will be very hard for a two-year-old over that trip.
Abundant runs in a wide-open handicap but he has been running really well in class three handicaps up until late. He is very straightforward which he will need to be with the wide draw. It will be difficult with the trip, but he is in a good place and hopefully with a bit of luck he can be very competitive.
