Coco Gauff and Iga Swiatek are next in the betting at odds 5/1. Gauff won her maiden Grand Slam title at the US Open in 2023, but has surprisingly failed to make it beyond the fourth round in either of her two appearances since lifting the trophy. The American arrives in encouraging form, though, after reaching the Wimbledon semi-finals before backing that up with victory in Cincinnati. With the home crowd behind her once again, Gauff will hope this is the year she makes another deep run in New York.

Swiatek became US Open champion in 2022, but arrives with questions to answer after a disappointing Grand Slam campaign by her standards. Naomi Osaka is available at odds of 11/1 as she continues her career renaissance. The Japanese star is a two-time US Open champion and four-time Grand Slam winner, and reached the semi-finals here last year. Few players in the draw can match Osaka's record in New York and she remains one of the most dangerous floaters in the field.

Jessica Pegula is a 12/1 chance as she looks to finally land a maiden Grand Slam title. The American came closest at the US Open in 2024, losing in the final, and heads into this year's tournament in solid form after finishing runner-up at both the Citi Open and Cincinnati. Pegula has established herself as one of the most consistent performers on tour, but is still searching for the breakthrough Major success her talent deserves.

Elena Rybakina and Mirra Andreeva are both priced at 14/1. Rybakina claimed the Australian Open at the start of the year to secure her second Grand Slam title, but has endured a mixed spell since then, suffering early exits at both Roland Garros and Wimbledon. There were more encouraging signs in Canada, where she reached the final, although the Kazakh will need to improve on a modest US Open record having never progressed beyond the fourth round.

Andreeva arrives in New York as one of the game's brightest young stars after winning her maiden Grand Slam title at Roland Garros. The 19-year-old has already shown she can handle the biggest stages, but the US Open remains the one Major where she is yet to make a significant breakthrough, having never advanced beyond the third round in three previous appearances.
