Ladbrokes previews Jannik Sinner vs Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon semi-finals
Sixth time the two have met in a Grand Slam semi-final
Sinner predicted to win

Ladbrokes brings you its full preview of the blockbuster Wimbledon semi-final between Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic, as the defending champion goes up against the man with more Grand Slam titles than anyone else in history.
Sinner is the favourite to win the match at odds of 2/9, with Djokovic priced at 16/5 to reach the final.
Defending Wimbledon champion Jannik Sinner has avoided any surprises to reach the last four, after stumbling in the second round at Roland Garros in the spring. Sinner opted not to play any warm-up tournaments on grass beforehand, but barring a tense first round match against Miomir Kecmanovic that went the distance, the Italian has not dropped a set in the tournament since.
Novak Djokovic needs just one more Wimbledon title to match Roger Federer's record of eight championships, and the grass courts probably represent his best chance of winning a 25th Major title. It has rarely been easy for the 39-year-old, with only one win in the tournament via straight sets, but he came through a gruelling quarter-final against third seed Felix Auger-Aliassime to seal his place in the semis.
This will be the 12th professional meeting between Sinner and Djokovic, with Sinner currently leading their head-to-head 6-5.
They have met in five Grand Slam semi-finals, including twice before at Wimbledon, with Sinner winning in straight sets in 2025 and Djokovic winning by the same scoreline in 2023. Djokovic leads their Wimbledon head-to-head 2-1, having also won in the quarter-finals in 2022.
Of their five semi-final meetings - they have curiously never met in a Major final - Sinner leads 3-2, but in their most recent encounter, Djokovic won in four sets at the Australian Open earlier this year to end a run of five straight defeats to Sinner.
Djokovic will take hope from his victory over Sinner in Melbourne earlier this year, but the problem for the Serbian in recent years has been maintaining his stamina over the course of a two-week Grand Slam. After competing in the longest-ever Wimbledon quarter-final against Auger-Aliassime on Tuesday, with three of the five sets going to a tiebreak, that issue could rear its head again. On the other hand, Sinner hasn't dropped a set in his past four matches, so will be much fresher, and had few problems in his semi-final win here against Djokovic last year. We're predicting Sinner to advance to his second consecutive Wimbledon final, although we think Djokovic will pick up a set.
Our prediction: Sinner 3-1 Djokovic
