Enzo Fernandez next club odds: Real Madrid favourites despite denying interest

Only three-and-a-half years after joining Chelsea for a record £107million, Enzo is reportedly seeking to depart the club after a chaotic few years in West London.

The Blues have just appointed their eighth manager during that time and despite there being plenty of optimism heading into the Xabi Alonso era, boosted by the £117m arrival of Morgan Rogers, Fernandez is seemingly keen to depart.

A move to Real Madrid appeared to be in the offing, before Los Blancos released a statement indicating that reports of an imminent bid for the Argentine were false.

Despite that, a move to Real seems very much on the cards, according to recent reports and Ladbrokes' latest odds, with Jose Mourinho's men only 11/4 to snap up the World Cup villain.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said:

Enzo Fernandez could possibly be the most jeered Premier League player of all-time next season - it's no surprise to see Real Madrid priced so short to sign him this summer.

Should a move to Real fail to materialise, a move to remain in the Premier League with Manchester City is the next likeliest, according to the bookies.

City are just 7/1 to land the 25-year-old in a move which would see him reunite with former Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca, who Enzo played his best football under at Stamford Bridge.

Real's rivals Atletico Madrid are another outside option whose odds have shortened in recent days, with a move to German champions Bayern Munich also being considered.

A shock move across London to Arsenal is the only other potential destination, with the Gunners known to be seeking a new midfielder.

Alongside betting on Fernandez's future, there are odds available for the next club of a whole host of football's biggest stars, including his Argentina team-mate Julian Alvarez, as well as Bradley Barcola, John Stones and Mohamed Salah.
